I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2005. I have specialized in Abdominal Therapy (a form of massage therapy) for a decade, and perinatal massage for my whole career. Massage is my second career, but it's where I'm meant to be. Recently, I added manual lymphatic drainage and health coaching to my resume, as well as getting my Master's in Education (concentration in Adult Education), which is allowing me to serve my clients in additional ways as well as allowing me to better teach continuing education to other massage therapists.
This technique is performed externally by improving flow of blood, venous return, nerves, and chi through the abdominopelvic cavity. This work encourages the belly to heal itself, allowing for improved digestive and reproductive function. All codes of ethics are maintained, and clients are appropriately draped at all times. The area of work is from the bottom of the rib cage to the top edge of the pubic bone, plus the low back and hips. All sessions are approximately 60 minutes.
MLD is a technique developed by the Vodders in 1936 for the treatment of swollen lymph nodes. MLD is a light, skin stretching technique that helps promote the movement of lymphatic fluid out of a swollen limb. MLD is great pre- and post-operatively.
We all have those areas where we wish our skin was a little smoother, whether it's for a special occasion or a confidence boost. These sessions combine a variety of techniques to help smooth, firm, and sculpt the skin. This treatment usually includes the arms, stomach, and thighs.

Therapeutic massage therapy is exactly what is says: therapeutic, meaning this massage's goal is to reduce pain, increase range of motion, and help you prepare for or recover from surgery. I accept new clients for therapeutic massage by referral from an existing client or by referral from a doctor I know.

This lecture-based, interactive, 4-hour course discusses the benefits of abdominal massage for addressing commonly occurring abdominopelvic issues. We will discuss abdominopelvic pain, the bio-psycho-social model of care, the importance of medical history intake, and what the research says about addressing abdominopelvic issues through abdominal massage. A review of abdominopelvic structures and anatomy is included.
This 3- or 4-hour, hands-on course identifies common bony landmarks and provides an introductory abdominal massage. Many massage therapists are either untrained in abdominal massage, uncomfortable with abdominal massage, or both. This class will help you overcome those challenges and show you how to apply techniques you already know to the unique area of the body that is the abdomen as well as the hips. This class can include an anatomy review and will include a medical history exercise.
Services are by appointment only.
Open from 9am to 2pm Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, as well as alternating Thursdays and Fridays.
